POLICE are appealing for information after a man grabbed a girl in Kesgrave this morning.

The 11-year-old was walking along St Olaves Road at around 9am when the man grabbed her by the arms and told her to be quiet.

She managed to bite his hand and run off.

The man is described as white, in his 40s, around 5ft 10ins, of thin build and had short brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing black trousers and a dark hooded top.

Officers have liaised with Kesgrave High School and will be carrying out additional patrols in the area tonight and tomorrow.

Anyone with information should call Suffolk police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
