The 21-year-old man has been bailed until October 1


A man has been arrested following an allegation of rape in Lakenheath.

The incident occurred between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday in a car park on Mill Road.

A 21-year-old man from Lakenheath was arrested last night on suspicion of rape and taken into police custody where he is currently being questioned.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Anyone with information should call Bury St Edmunds CID on 101, quoting reference MH/14/1248.
