Lakenheath: Man charged with killing John Joe Scott by drink-driving

A man has been charged with killing a Suffolk man by drink-driving, police have said.

The 22-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, Steven Samuel, was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with one count of causing death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.

The 21-year-old unemployed man from Hasse Road in Soham, Cambridgeshire, is currently on police bail prior to his appearance at Bury Magistrates Court on September 2.
