The incident occurred at Seckford Hall roundabout, and both lanes of the southbound carriageway were closed between the B1438 Ipswich Road junction and the A1214 Main Road junction at Martlesham Heath.

One lane of the southbound carriageway remained closed into the afternoon following recovery of the vehicle, to allow the shed load to be fully cleaned up. Traffic police said the road was too slippery and potentially dangerous to reopen any sooner.

The curb will be coned off overnight, with police due to reassess the restriction at 7am tomorrow morning.

The initial closure caused disruption following the crash, with traffic diverted via Martlesham.
