Motorists in Leavenheath faced major delays after a two-vehicle collision blocked a street in the village.

Paramedics and police were called to the incident in Harrow Street, which saw one vehicle end up in a field, at about 7.40am today.

The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and a Citroen Dispatch van.

An ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 7.44am, a paramedic in a rapid response car treated a woman for shock.

“She didn’t need hospital treatment so was left in the care of a relative.”
