People in north-east Essex are being asked to look at a number of CCTV images to see if they recognise any of the people who are wanted in connection with an assault and theft in Leicestershire.

A man was approached by a group of five men and a woman outside Rockafellas bar in St Nicholas Place, Leicester, at about 3am on Sunday, November 3.

The six people distracted him while he was at an ATM. They then assaulted him and stole his bank card which was later used to make purchases totalling £1,000 in Harwich and Leicester.

Investigating Officer, DC Amanda Thwaites, said: “Please take a look at these images and see if you can help identify the people in them. They could have information which will help us with our enquiry. If it is you, or you know who they are please let me know.”

If you have any information, call DC Amanda Thwaites at Leicestershire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
