The body of a man has been recovered from the River Orwell near Levington.
Police were contacted by the coastguard following reports of the incident by a member of the public just before 1pm.
The man, who it is understood is not from Suffolk or Essex, was seen in the river between Levington and Pin Mill, according to police. His body has now been recovered.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post mortem is due to take place soon to establish the cause of death.
