Lidgate/Felixstowe: Post-mortem examination inconclusive for man who died close to roadworks

A man has died following an incident in the village of Lidgate.
 
Police were called by the Ambulance service at approximately 10.30am this morning, Tuesday 13 May with a report that a man had collapsed on the B1063 near to a section where road works were taking place.

The post-mortem examination of a man in his 30s from Felixstowe who died close to roadworks has come back as inconclusive.

The man from Felixstowe was killed in Lidgate, near Newmarket, on Tuesday morning, with conflicting reports about whether the man was hit by a car or whether he had collapsed.

A spokeswoman from Suffolk Constabulary said today that the post-mortem examination had come back as inconclusive, adding: “Further tests are needed to ascertain how he died.”
