The incident was reported at 2.39am and happened near Little Glemham.

Crews from Woodbridge, Framlingham and Leiston attended the scene where they found a single vehicle with a man in his 30s trapped inside.

They made the vehicle safe and released the trapped man who was taken into the care of the ambulance service.

A police spokesman said the BMW had come off the road and hit a tree but the driver, who was the only person in the car, was treated mostly for shock and was not thought to be seriously injured.

The car was left embedded in the tree, and police said the insurance company would be recovering it later today.
