Long Melford: Small chimney fire in High Street

A small fire broke out in a chimney at a property in a high street.

The incident happened at atound 5.50pm in Long Melford.

One crew from Sudbury attended the scene and had brought it under control within 10 minutes of their arrival.

  • Just a comment but Long Melford has its own retained fire station which is less than a mile from the High Street yet apparently a fire tender from Sudbury attended this call. That is at least 6 miles away.
