Lowestoft: 25-year-old charged with assault after reports man fell from vehicle travelling through Saxmundham

A 25-year-old man is due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates Court this morning charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident in Saxmundham yesterday.
Scott Abbott, of Crown Street, Leiston, was arrested yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, March 11, after police took a report that a man had fallen from a vehicle travelling through Saxmundham around 1.20pm. Officers arrived to find a young man at the side of the road being tended to by members of the public. He was taken to Ipswich hospital and has been kept in overnight for observation after sustaining grazing, bruising and swelling to the back of his head.
Scott Abbott has now been charged with assault and has been detained in custody overnight to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates this morning.
