Police have charged a man with begging.

A 26-year-old man is due before magistrates this morning, charged with four counts of begging.

Carl Horth, of Denmark Road, Lowestoft, was arrested on Saturday night following allegations of begging in Claremont Road in the town.

He was later charged with that offence and three others on Monday, January 6, at London Road North, on Tuesday January 14, at Peto Way and on Sunday, January 19, in Claremont Road.

He has been detained in custody to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates this morning.
