A WOMAN was seriously injured after being knocked off her mobility scooter earlier today.

Police were called to the scene in London Road in Pakefield near Lowestoft at 1.30pm to reports of a mobility scooter being in collision with a car.

The 60-year-old casualty fell heavily onto the ground and sustained pelvis and back injuries which police say could be life changing.

The road was closed for two and a half hours afterwards.
