Archant

A pet chihuahua has been stolen from a garden in Lowestoft.

The theft took place in the garden of a house in Summer Road on Wednesday, sometime between 3.45pm and 3.50pm.

The dog was in the garden and it is thought someone opened the gate and took it.

Family members searching for the pet were told a man had been seen around Walton Road at about 4pm, picking up the dog and looking at the animal’s collar.

He is described as being in his 20s to 30s, of thin to medium build, with stubble and of scruffy appearance, with short dark hair and wearing black baggy trousers, a light coloured top and scruffy white trainers. It is thought he walked off with the dog along Stanley Street.

If you have any information about this crime please call the Lowestoft North Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101.
