Lowestoft: Teenager tries to grab bag from man walking in Jubilee Way

12:51 16 June 2014

Police are trying to trace a teenager after an attempted robbery took place in Lowestoft.

At 9:30pm on June 13 a 24-year-old man walked past the suspect and then felt his shoulder bag being pulled away from him.

The victim did not let go of the bag at which point the suspect kicked the victim in the leg.

The victim then pulled back and the suspect stumbled, let go and ran off along Jubilee Way.

Nothing was stolen and the 24-year-old was uninjured.

The teenager the police would like to trace is described as male, aged between 16 and 18-years-old, about 5ft 10in tall, of average build, with dirty blonde hair and wearing a dark blue hooded top with white writing across the chest, dark tracksuit bottoms with a red stripe on the outer side of both legs and white trainers.

If you witnessed the event or have any information about the incident, please call Dc Andrew Thawley at Lowestoft CID on 101.
