A police helicopter was dispatched in Ipswich after a man was reported to be walking along the railway line.
Officers were able to detain the man, who suffered no injuries in the incident.
Residents reported seeing the police chopper over the Bramley Hill estate, near Woodbridge Road, around 6.40pm this evening.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: “We received reports that a man was walking along the railway line.
“Trains are now back to normal, and he was secured by officers. There were no injuries.”
