Man arrested outside QD in St Matthews Street, Ipswich

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing a disturbance at an Ipswich branch of QD.

Four police units were called to QD stores in St Matthew’s Street at 2.56pm on Saturday.

Suffolk Constabulary said there was a report a man was abusive to staff inside the store, and once he had been removed, there was abusive behaviour towards police officers.

MPs including Colchester’s Will Quince were “told to run” after a major security alert in central London.

MPs from Suffolk and Essex were caught up in the drama around Westminster – with several caught in the lockdown at the House of Commons as they voted in the Chamber.
