Police would like to speak to a woman about an attempted theft from a supermarket and assault on a member of staff.

A woman went into a Tesco Express branch in Manningtree High Street at 9.40pm on December 10 and attempted to steal some goods. After leaving the store, she was stopped by a staff member, before she pushed past them. The victim suffered no visible injuries. The goods were recovered.

Officers have released CCTV images of a woman who they want to talk to about the crime.
