A man in his 80s was involved in a dramatic rescue on Sunday, December 1, after he fell and injured his head on a boat - which was suspended 13ft in the air on stilts.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust received a call at 3.09pm to Coast Road, Mersea.
An 82-year-old man had sustained a head injury and was unable to make his way down the ladder from the boat.
The EEAST Hazardous Area Response Team worked alongside the fire and rescue service to stabilise the patient and lower him to the ground with ropes.
He was then taken to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
