The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called to Mildenhall yesterday to a boy who had come off his bike.

Medics have said the “young” boy was taken to Addenbrook’s Hospital after the accident.

The helicopter crew took just 14 minutes to get to the scene in the west Suffolk town.

On arrival Dr Jenny Townsend and critical care paramedic Neil Flowers worked closely with a NHS ambulance crew.

He was treated at the scene before being taken via land ambulance to hospital. His condition is said to be stable.
