Mildenhall: Man rescued from house blaze

FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a man from a burning terraced house this morning.

Two crews from Newmarket attended the scene in College Heath Road in Mildenhall at about 7.30am.

On arrival they found the property to be heavily smoke logged with one male stranded inside.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the house and rescued the man before bringing the fire under control by

8am.
