A TEENAGER was airlifted to hospital after being injured while playing rugby.

He was treated at the scene in Mildenhall by a medical team on board the helicopter before he was airlifted to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, by the East Anglian Air Ambulance yesterday.

Dr Neil Berry, Dr Chris Smith and critical care paramedic Dan Cody were flown to the scene by captain Chris Sherriff.
