A horse and pony who were separated after a vicious dog attack have been reunited.
Best pals Chispa and Jenny were mauled by a black Staffordshire bull terrier while grazing in their paddock on October 12.
Shetland pony Jenny, who is in her 20s, suffered a nasty leg injury which required emergency surgery, and a long stay at the Catley Cross Veterinary Clinic in Wickham St Paul, while she recovered.
But now the plucky pony is back where she belongs – her home at Mistley Place Park animal rescue centre in Mistley.
Owner Cara Taylor, 31, said it was wonderful to see the pair reunited.
She said: “Jenny had been away for quite a while and to start with Chispa didn’t realise who she was but now they are back to being their old happy selves.”
The owner of the dog ran off with his pet, leaving the two horses bleeding and injured.
