A man has been taken to Addenbrooke’s hospital suffering serious head injuries after falling from his horse and being kicked in the head.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called to the scene in Six Mile Bottom, Newmarket, at 7.11am this morning. The East Anglian Air Ambulance also attended.
The man in his early 20s had been kicked by the horse after falling off it.
Dr Adam Chesters and CCP Gary Spitzer of Anglia Two treated and sedated the patient at the scene, before escorting him by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s hospital.
The patient is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
