A man who sold crack cocaine to an undercover officer during a police operation aimed at reducing the supply of Class A drugs in west Suffolk has been given a chance by a judge to turn his life around.
Kevin Brock was arrested in July last year after he supplied a £20 wrap to an undercover officer in Newmarket, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Brock, 47, of Wisbech, admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, supplying heroin and handling a stolen stamp album.
After hearing that since his arrest Brock had been seriously injured in an accident and had been receiving help for his addiction to amphetamine, Judge Rupert Overbury agreed to defer sentence on him for six months.
“You have made real efforts and that has impressed me,” said the judge.
Sentencing was adjourned until November 20 and Brock was given an electronically monitored curfew.
