Newmarket: Appeal after theft of handbag from car

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car window was smashed and handbag stolen in Newmarket.

The car break-in happened in Hamilton Road, Newmarket between 3.20pm and 3.55pm on Wednesday, January 9.

The Peugeot 205 was broken into while parked in the street and a black handbag containing cash and cards was stolen from within.

Witnesses are asked to call Pc Paul Osmond at Newmarket Police on 101 with any information or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
