Newmarket: Motorist injured in three-vehicle accident on A14

A female driver has suffered suspected spinal injuries in a road crash on the A14.

Police were called to the accident on the road near Newmarket at 12.45pm.

A Honda, Hyundai and a lorry were all involved in the collision, close to the BP service station.

Lane two was blocked for a time as paramedics worked at the scene to assess the female driver of the Hyundai.

A police spokesman said she had suffered suspected spinal injuries and had complained of neck pain.

She along with the driver of the Honda have been taken to West Suffolk Hospital to be “checked over”.
