Firefighters from Lowestoft quickly dealt with a kitchen blaze at a flat in Oulton

Crews from Lowestoft North and Lowestoft South fire stations were called out at about 3.50pm today following reports of a flat fire in Whiting Road.

They quickly had the blaze, which started in the kitchen, under control and the scene was cleared by 4.20pm.
