Police have made five arrests after a car reported stolen to police crashed near a popular Suffolk pub.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said a vehicle reported stolen following a burglary crashed in Bramford Road, near the Wild Man pub in Sproughton.

The incident happened around 3.13pm today and five people have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

No-one is believed to have been injured in the incident.

A jackknifed lorry has caused major traffic delays on the A14 in west Suffolk this morning.

The 90-year-old man who was found with serious injuries at the Suffolk home where his wife’s lifeless body was discovered, has also died.
