Police attend Great Bentley railway station after concerns for woman’s welfare

Officers from the British Transport Police were called to a station in Essex today following concerns for a member of the public.

A BTP spokesman said: “Our officers were called to Great Bentley rail station on January 8 following concerns about a woman’s welfare.

“The call came into police shortly after 1pm.

“Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service.

“The woman was taken to a place of safety.”

Trains travelling between Colchester and Clacton ran at reduced speed through Great Bentley while the BTP officers dealt with the incident.
