Firefighters have stopped a chimney fire from getting out of control in Poslingford, near Clare.

One crew from Long Melford was called to the Street at about 11.19am.

Firefighters discovered a chimney fire involving a wood burner.

Small gear was used to fight the blaze and this incident was under control by 12.42pm.

  • We have a fire service in Clare which is 1 mile away!!!! a journey of 5 mins and Long Melford get sent from 18 minutes away. Absurd
