A 33-year-old dangerous driver has absconded from an open prison in Suffolk.

Edward Stokes was reported missing from Hollesley Bay today after he was absent from a roll call.

He is serving a 20 month sentence for dangerous driving.

Stokes is described as white, with ginger hair and is of a slight build.

He was last seen wearing grey Converse tracksuit bottoms, grey/black Airmax trainers and a blue body warmer with brown shoulders. He also has a one inch scar on his right thumb.

Stokes has links to the Essex area and Suffolk Constabulary is advising members of the public not to approach him.

The prison is located in Hollesley, near Woodbridge.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Stokes, or who has any information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to contact Suffolk Constabulary on 101.
