The majority of Greater Anglia train services are now operating a limited service, following work to repair damage caused by last night’s storm.

There are still some services which are not running because of the effects of the storm.

This includes trains in Essex travelling via Thorpe-le-Soken to and from Colchester and between Harwich Town and Manningtree, which will remain suspended until further notice because of overhead power line problems.

A road replacement service is being put in place to operate between Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea and Thorpe-le-Soken to Walton-on-the-Naze.

All ticket restrictions have also been suspended today, including all advance purchase ticket restrictions, so commuters can travel on the most convenient service.

Commuters are also being reminded that services will close down earlier today on most routes.
