Two men attacked with metal pole and wooden stick in late night Ipswich brawl

A man was taken to hospital and another suffered minor injuries after a fight broke out in Ipswich during the early hours of Thursday morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the two men were assaulted near the centre of town – leading to the closure of a busy junction.
Officers were called to the scene at 1.45am on Thursday to reports of a fight taking place in Bond Street, near the junction of Eagle Street.
Suspects used a metal pole and a wooden stick to assault the two victims – one taken to hospital after sustaining head injuries as a result of the incident, while the other received minor injuries.
Police believed an altercation had taken place between the two victims and a group of three men in Rope Walk before the assault.
One suspect was described as black, 5ft 10-11in, in his 30s, of big build, with short hair, and wearing a turquoise top and dark trousers.
A second suspect was described as Asian, 5ft 10-11in, in his 30s, with a close beard, short hair and wearing a dark jacket.
The third man was described as black and of a similar height.
Two roads were closed to allow a police investigation into the circumstances of the incident to take place.
