A prisoner has absconded from Hollesley Bay, the second in as many days.
Officers were contacted by the prison at 8.35pm this evening, reporting that 30-year-old Scott Rowland was missing following a roll call. He had last been seen at 5pm.
Rowland is serving a five and a half year sentence for aggravated burglary and robbery.
He is described as white, 5ft 11in tall, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes.
He has tattoos on both arms, and police say he has connections to London.
Last night, an appeal was made by officers for help in tracing another prisoner from Hollesley Bay who had absconded.
Louis Stanley, 32, who is serving a four and a half year sentence for burglary and dangerous driving, was last seen at 5.15pm.
Officers say he has connections to the Shepherd’s Bush area of London.
Anyone who may have either of the men, or who has any information regarding their whereabouts, is asked to contact Suffolk police on 101.
