A Suffolk artist has been overjoyed with the response to her latest solo exhibition, which continues at Snape Maltings until Thursday.
Sophie Elinor Martin, from Clopton, near Woodbridge, has already built a reputation for her charcoal animal paintings, some of which were last year chosen to market high quality British beef for export.
For her latest show, Found, which opened over the weekend at The Workshop, Snape Maltings, she was inspired by the idea of bringing a new identity to uncredited online images abandoned in cyberspace.
The former Suffolk College student and Norwich University of the Arts graduate, said the opening had been “fantastic”, with more than 80 people in attendance.
Sophie will be donating 5% of sales to UNICEF and in particular the children of Gaza. She has already given a portion proceeds from five sales to charities this year.
