Five Mulberry handbags worth several hundreds of pounds each have been stolen from a shop.

The break-in happened in Southwold Market Place between 4.05am and 4.15am yesterday when a large window at the side of the store was smashed.

Five bags, all black or brown in colour, were stolen.

The thief was seen heading off up East Street.

Anyone with information should call Pc Barber on 101 of Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

  • Good. Thats what happens when you breed a society that places that much value on a handbag that was more than likely made by people who got paid 1100th of its sale price using raw materials that cost even less. Best of luck to them, that's what insurance is for.
