Fire crews from Southwold, Lowestoft and Halesworth were called to a gorse fire yesterday.

The crews were called to Southwold Common in Godyll Road just after 4pm to find around 50 square metres of gorse on fire.

They surrounded the fire and used three hosereels to bring it under control by 5.57pm.
