Police appeal after robbery

Police appeal after robbery

Archant

A woman had her iPhone stolen when she was robbed by a gang of teenagers while walking along an Essex sea wall last month.

A male youth, aged 16-20, and three teenage girls, approached the victim from behind as she walked along Beach Road in St Osyth, close to the holiday park.

The victim, 21, was dragged to the ground and punched and kicked before the group stole her white iPhone 4S, in a white case with black spots, her phone charger, a pair of Nike trainers and a set of chef’s whites.

The incident happened between 10.30pm and 11pm on Thursday July 17, but Essex Police only released details of the incident today.

The male, believed to have been called Kevin, was more than 5ft 11ins tall and wore dark tracksuit bottoms, while one of the girls was at least 5ft 6ins tall and had very long dark hair in a ponytail.

All of the gang were white.

Anyone with information should call PC Annalise Redden at Clacton CID on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
