A WOMAN has sustained life threatening injuries following a two car collision this afternoon.


Emergency services were called to Stow Lane in Stowlangtoft near Bury St Edmunds at 2.45pm.

A female casualty had to be extracted from a VW Polo and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment.

Police have closed off the road to traffic.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We treated a woman in her 20s with a serious head injury and she has been flown to Addenbrookes Hospital. All emergency services worked well together to make sure that the woman was assessed and stabilised as quickly as possible.”
