The boss of one of Suffolk’s biggest heritage attractions is to leave.
Tony Butler, director of the Museum of East Anglian Life, is to take up a new role at Derby Museums Trust.
He has been director since 2004 and has seen it expand with a new nature reserve and the opening of Abbot’s Hall last year.
He said: “I have had a wonderful nine years at the museum. I am constantly cheered by the affection Stowmarket people have for this place. The museum is not only at the heart of the community but now an impressive attraction for the region.”
