Traditional crafts and skills mastered over hundreds of years were on display at one of Suffolk’s most well-known museums.
There were steam engine, ploughing and harvesting demonstrations all at the Museum of East Anglian Life’s Steam and Crafts Weekend in Stowmarket.
The event, which is now in its seventh year, saw more than 1,000 people attend with numbers swelling on the Sunday as visitors from the town’s car show also came along.
Museum office manager Patsy Cane said: “The craft side was really successful, we had things going on in the barn and at the front and back of Abbot’s Hall. We had over 10 steam engines and six scale engines. We had really good weather, some excellent stands and the attendance was really high on the Sunday.
“We had over 600 people just in Abbot’s Hall on that day. We were really quite impressed with it as it takes about a year to organise.”
