Sudbury: Boy hit by car

A boy was knocked over by a car in Mountbatten Close, Sudbury, this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene of the collision at 3.55pm.

The boy, aged about nine, suffered head and wrist injuries, as well as cuts and grazes.

None of the injuries were thought to be serious.

He was taken to West Suffolk hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

Emergency services were called to an incident in Stoke-by-Nayland where a car overturned and ended up on its roof.
