Firefighters tackled a house blaze in Sudbury this evening.

Two fire engines were called to Tudor Road at around 6.55pm.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used hose reels to extinguish the fire and administered oxygen therapy to the occupier.

“Crews remained at property and fitted smoke alarms before leaving.”

The fire was put out by 7.10pm.

Police were not called to the incident, a force spokesman said.

The East of England Ambulance Service have not responded to requests for comment.
