A woman in her 70s was knocked to the ground and injured after being involved in a collision with a car in a Suffolk market town.
The 73-year-old was crossing the road near the Santander Bank on Market Hill in Sudbury when a car parked in the road began reversing, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.
The car collided with the victim, causing her to fall to the ground, the force spokesman added.
“The victim sustained pain to her hips, legs and shoulder as a result of the incident,” he said.
“The driver of the vehicle stopped but did not give the victim her details, which are now being sought.”
The vehicle is described as a small blue car and the driver is described as an elderly woman.
The incident took place between 11.30am and 12pm on Wednesday.
Witnesses are urged to come forward. Call police on 101 with information.
