Suffolk: A11 has reopened to traffic as work to repair the road following fatal collision is completed

A man believed to be in his early 20s was killed when his silver BMW was in collision with a silver Toyota Corolla on the A11 at Barton Mills. It took place just north of Fiveways at around 1.45am yesterday.

A busy Suffolk road which was closed following a fatal two-vehicle collision this morning has reopened, the Highways Agency has confirmed.

The A11 near Barton Mills was closed in both directions between the Fiveways roundabout and the B1112, near Mildenhall, after the incident at about 1.45am.

Work has taken place throughout today. After police finished their investigations, the road was inspected for damage and was then repaired and resurfaced.

The road reopened at 4.40pm, although it has been reported there are still some residual delays.
