Suffolk: County will have to put up with more bad weather for another week

Suffolk will have to endure at least another week of heavy rain, strong winds and possible flooding.
The forecast over the weekend is for more wet weather falling on already saturated or flooded areas of the county.
Jim Bacon and Norwich-based Weatherquest added high wind speeds would also return in the next few days.
Mr Bacon said: “What we have is a dry day today now and then another lot of rain coming through tonight, but that’ll be cleared away by the morning.
“Saturday is a bright and breezy start then scattered, blustery showers. There’ll be strong winds during the later part of the day, up to 50 or 60mph.
“Sunday is similar but with slightly fewer showers and slightly less windy.
“Monday is still bright and breezy but it’s very unstable into next week.”
Mr Bacon also said there had been around 13mm of rain last night across the county and there could possibly be another 5mm tonight.
However he added because of the blustery conditions there could be “varying amounts” of rainfall during next week.
Following that it is likely to turn colder and hopefully less wet in the second half of the month giving saturated ground a chance to dry out.
