After yesterday’s bank holiday washout there was good news for all those returning to work today – we’ll be able to look out of our windows to finer weather!

Forecaster Phil Garner from Norwich-based Weatherquest said today and tomorrow should be better days before showers return tomorrow night and carry on through to the weekend.

He said: “It will be better once the rain has eased. The good news is that looking ahead temperatures will recover a bit – up to 21C or 22C.

“And there are some indications things will settle down a bit next week if our current projections are right.”

Yesterday’s rain turned many bank holiday events into washouts, but at least the children should have some bright weather before they all return to school next week.
