A Suffolk Show celebration of artisan food and drink created by producers from across the county looks set to become the biggest display to date.

The Adnams Food and Drink Experience is set to include 84 stands, filling the hall and courtyard. Visitors will be able to sample a range of produce from independent food producers from across the county.

Visitors to the area, which is sponsored by Adnams, will have the chance to fill their store cupboards with some of the tastiest flavours of Suffolk. Suppliers include Stokes Sauces, Scarlett and Mustard, Hillfarm Oils and the Suffolk Pate Company.

There will also be fresh Suffolk sausages from Musks and Powters and artisan bread and pastries from Boyton Old School Farm and Kitchen as well as a selection of cheeses, coffee, spices, seeds, cakes, fudge and chocolate.

Visitors can stock up on alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including craft distilled gin and vodka from Flint and Hardings as well as a selection of craft and traditional beers from Station 119 and St Peter’s Brewery or fruit inspired spirits from The Tiny Tipple Company.

One of the most popular foodie attractions at the Suffolk Show is the Cookery Theatre which returns this year with guest speakers from the county’s best pubs, restaurants and food producers, all working hard to maintain the county’s status as a ‘foodie’ destination.

New for children this year will be the Fun Kitchen who will host several cooking workshops for youngsters over the two days of the show.

Presenters from BBC Suffolk will also be taking to the stage for the ‘omelette challenge’ to see who can make the best three-egg omelette in the quickest time.

Show director Bee Kemball said: “The passion for food is evident every year at the Suffolk Show with visitors flocking to the Food and Drink Experience and Cookery Theatre.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the county’s top chefs and food producers as well as enjoying food samples, cooking demonstrations, talks and tastings.”
