Archant

Weather forecasters are warning of more blustery conditions this morning.

Although Jim Bacon, of Norwich-based Weatherquest, said the winds will not be as strong as the 65mph recorded across Suffolk and Essex overnight.

“Today will be a very blustery morning with the winds quieting down this evening,” he added.

“We are coming past the peak of it now with a downward trend for the wind speed.

“Last night the highest wind speed in the region was about 65mph causing lost of branches and debris to fall down.
“It will be blustery with strong cross-winds on the roads if you are driving but it will slowly ease down.”
Mr Bacon has forecast showery rain this afternoon before colder air moves in this evening bringing a touch of groundfrost.

“A brighter day will be had tomorrow which will be a welcome respite,” he added.

“Looking ahead to next week it is still going to be unsettled with a changeable pattern of weather of spells of rain and some drier days.”
